Bobby Simha Talks About Bangalore Days Remake

With the release of Banglore Natkal closing in, actor Bobby Simha talks about how he got the part in the film. The movie will be the Tamil remake of the Malayalam blockbuster Bangalore days. Bommarillu Baskar has directed the film which stars Arya, Rana Daggubati, Bobby Simha, Sri Divya, Parvathy, Samantha and Rai Laxmi.

Bobby revealed, “As soon as the original Bangalore Days released, Nivin Pauly called me and asked me to watch this film. So, I went to Kochi and then headed to Thrissur where I watched this film. I was bowled over by his performance and told Nivin that the film was superb. I also told him that this was a universal script and would be great if it could be remade. He remarked, ‘You do my role if it is remade’. I promised to try but also pointed out that I did not even know who had procured the remake rights of the film then”.

The actor also shared that the director was a little hesitant at first to cast Bobby for the role. He said, “At first, they said the film was being directed by Baskar and that he would have to make a decision. Then I met Baskar sir, who was a little hesitant because the masses had only seen me in rough and tough roles. He organised a test shoot after which he was completely satisfied and I landed the role”.
