Cop Role For SJ Suryah In 174

Known for his direction in Anbe Aaruyire and Isai, director turned actor SJ Suryah has been busy with filming Iraivi. Now that the shoot for the film has been completed, the actor has taken up another movie titled 174. Suryah will be playing the role of an investigative cop in the film.

“174 will be an interesting cop story, which is entertaining and at the same time has a meaningful social message. We will begin the shoot in early 2016. The film has many comedy sequences in the beginning and, later, the story gets very emotional. I was impressed with Manikandan's plot”, Suryah stated.

174 will be directed by Manikandan who will be making his directorial debut with the film. The production will be handled by SJ Suryah. The movie has been titled 174 after the Section 174 present in the Indian Penal Code. Suryah made his debut as an actor in the 2004 film New, which he directed himself.
