Dhanush Donates Money To 125 Agricultural Families

Star Dhanush has been known to be a humble actor in the Kollywood industry. Interestingly, the actor rose to fame as a singer for his song Why This Kolaveri Di, back in 2012. Dhanush has also been producer, director, writer, lyricist and screenwriter.

Now, the actor is also a good Samaritan. According to sources, the Raanjhanaa star watched a short film 'Kolaigal Vizhuntha Nilam'. The short film was directed by Rajiv Gandhi and depicts the unfortunate situation of farmers and the reasons which lead them to commit suicide. Eventually, the actor was so overhelmed after watching the movie, that he asked his team to perform intensive search for such farmers and their families.

Dhanush donated Rs. 50,000 to 125 agricultural families, who seemed to be in a state of misery. The actor donated the money at Sankarapuram, which co-incidentally turned out to be his mother’s hometown. Regarding the actor’s upcoming movie, the actor is preparing himself for the movie, ‘Velai Illa Pattadhari 2’.
