Dhanush Resumes Shooting of ‘Vada Chennai’

With the release of his directorial debut ‘Power Paandi’ round the corner, superstar Dhanush is back on the sets of ‘Vada Chennai’. The flick is being directed by National Award winning filmmaker Vetrimaaran. It is touted as a gangster drama flick.

Dhanush informed about this development on Twitter. "With two days to go for 'Power Paandi' release, resuming 'Vada Chennai' shoot from today. Blazing sun, sea, great people and typical Vetrimaaran locations," he tweeted. The film will track the 30-years of a gangster from north Chennai and is expected to be made as a trilogy. The first schedule of the film was wrapped up in November last year.

Amala Paul will play the female lead in the movie, which marks the third time collaboration of Dhanush and Vetrimaaran. Reportedly, Dhanush has spared 200-days for the shoot of this project. Meanwhile, Dhanush’s directorial debut ‘Power Paandi’ is scheduled to release tomorrow. He has also bankrolled this flick.
