Nayanthara has swept an award for the best female actor for her role in Vignesh Shivan’s Naanum Rowdy Dhaan at the 63rd Britannia Filmfare Awards (South). She was given the award for performing the role of a deaf girl in the film with an effortless ease. This was one of the strong performances of the superstar, who lend her voice for dubbing in the film that actually helped her to won the award.

The Raja Rani actress has also expressed her gratitude to the flick’s director, after receiving the award. The movie also starred Vijay Sethupathi, Parthiban, RJ Balaji and Naan Kadavul Rajendran in pivotal roles. The star has also been a recipient of numerous awards.

Reportedly, the diva has given three successful films in a row in Tamil cinema. The artist’s performances in ‘Thani Oruvan’, ‘Maya’ and in the art piece have proved her acting skills. The impressive hat-trick at the box office has allegedly attracted the Kollywood's attention towards her.
