Kalavu Thozhirachalai To Finally Release On September 22
It has been a long time since Kalavu Thozhirachalai went on floors. The movie directed by T Krishna Shamy features Vamsi Krishna in the lead role. And now the film will finally release on September 22.
Talking about the movie, the director said, “The premise of the story is idol smuggling. Whenever someone hears the word ‘idol theft’ they immediately think of some violence, killing of temple guards and things like that. But the reality, however, involves no such violence. My hero also doesn’t kill or anything, he uses his plans to do it smoothly. The way he steals the idol itself will be a pretty new technique.”
He also said that an interview of DSP Kadhar Badsha, who is accused of antique robbery and arrested for the same, was also helpful in making the movie. “Ironically, an interview of him, which he gave about seven years ago, about saving an important statue is what made me come up with the story,” Samy said. Apart from Vamsi, the flick will also feature Kathir and Irfan. While Vamsi Krishna and Kathir will essay the role of an international criminal and a local small-time thief respectively, Irfan will play a police officer.
