    Karthi starrer Madras heading for Gandhi Jayanthi release

    Well it seems that Karthi's fans will have to wait much longer than expected to catch the glimpse of the actor as his upcoming drama flick has been postponed yet again. Ranjith’s Madras which was supposed to hit theatres on August 29 has been deferred till October 2.


    Produced by Studio Green, the film will star Catherine Tresa opposite Karthi. Apparently, Imman Annachi, Rama and Kalaiyarasan Harikrishnan also play pivotal roles in the movie.Shot in north Chennai, the flick is based on the lives of people residing in that part of the city.

    The film was supposed to hit theatres with Dhanush-starrer Velaiyilla Pattathari but its release is getting postponed since then. Earlier it was delayed due to censor board certification issues and later the makers deferred the release. And now, the much-awaited flick is expected to clash with Kamal Hassan's Uttama Villain and Sivakarthikeyan's Taana, which will open on the same day.Madras can be termed as the least-publicised movie of Karthi in the recent years. So, is it fine to clash with a big star like Kamal Haasan? We wonder...
