Kathir To Play A Cop In ‘Sathru’

After ‘Vikram Vedha’, actor Kathir has signed his next movie titled ‘Sathru’. The film which will be helmed by debutant Naveen Nanjundan will see Kathir essaying the role of a cop. He flick is touted to be a crime thriller which takes place within a day’s time.

"It is an investigative thriller that revolves around Kathir's life. He and his family are threatened by four unknown men and how he manages to solve the puzzle within 24 hours forms the crux. The way the screenplay is written will surely excite the audience. In fact, within 20 minutes after the film begins, Kathir will be suspended from his job,” said Naveen who has assisted Radha Mohan and Bommarillu Bhaskar in the past.

Kathir plays a young and a strange cop in the film. Talking about the movie, Naveen said that it is different from the usual cop stories. He further stated that he choose Kathir as he wanted a young face who can play the role convincingly. Heaping praises on him, Naveen said that he was impressed with his performance in ‘Kirumi’ and ‘Vikram Vedha’.

Actor Laguparan, who shot to fame after ‘Raattinam’, will essay the role of an antagonist, while actress Srushti Dange will romance Kathir in the film.
