Lakshmi Menon, Jayam Ravi to feature in Shakti Soundar Rajan’s next

Owing to the kind of roles offered to Lakshmi Menon, the South Indian actress was about to bid adieu to the industry, when Shakti Soundar Rajan’s next pulled her out of the dilemma. She has been roped in for the said project to play an entirely different role opposite Jayam Ravi. Being at the initial stage, the movie is yet to be titled.

Approving the news, Lakshmi said, “I signed the project as I felt the character in this movie is different from what I have been portraying so far. It is a modern character, not the usual village belle role”. The director has also shared the information on his official Twitter page, which says, “Happy to share that #LakshmiMenon has joined our 'UNTITLED' project with @actor_jayamravi! #JR19”.

Grapevine is abuzz that Lakshmi will also be seen in Siruthai Siva’s Tamil film as Ajith’s sister. But, she rubbished the rumour and said, “It is true that the makers approached me, however, I haven't signed it. As of now, I have only signed the Jayam Ravi project”.
