Mahima Nambiar Plays A Village Girl In Annanukku Jay

Actress Mahima Nambiar has a penchant of choosing content-oriented films. The actress has four films in her kitty, out of which three are in Tamil, while one is in Malayalam. The actress is happy that her long pending movie Annanukku Jay with Attakathi Dinesh, which is directed by Rajkumar, will release soon.

 In an interview with Deccan Chronicle, the actress said, “We finished shooting for Annanuku Jay one and a half years back and I’m glad that it will release soon. I play a village belle who is bold and part of a local music band. I will appear throughout the film and my character would always be fighting with Dinesh. I would say that this is one of my favourite characters of all time.”

The actress said that the director gave her complete freedom to act. “So far, I’ve been imitating what the directors have taught me. In this film, he gave me the space to perform and I learnt to react to the situation,” said the Kuttram 23 actress. She will also essay the role of a village girl in Kodi Veeran in which she will be seen along with Sasikumar.

Talking about her role in Kodi Veeran, the 23-year-old said, “My role is lady-like but when it comes to topics like equality, she voices her opinion strongly. Even though I did not dub for the film, director Muthaiah was particular that the lip-sync matched perfectly, so I had to learn the Madurai slang to mouth my dialogues.” The actress has GV Prakash’s Ayngaran, Arulnithi’s Iravukku Aayiram Kangal and Mammootty’s Masterpiece in her bag.
