Nayanthara and Jiiva to team up for Thirunaal

Nayanthara will be teaming up with Jiiva for the upcoming film Thirunaal, reported by TOI. The 30-year-old actress will be seen essaying the role of a kindergarten teacher, while Jiiva will be portraying the role of an unruly local. The movie will be helmed by P.S. Ramnath.

"Nayanthara is a 'homely' pre-KG teacher in the film, and it will be something new for the Kollywood audience. The film has a lot of commercial ingredients as well. The shoot will begin in Kumbakonam later this month", the director told TOI.

When quizzed about the role of Jiiva, Ramnath said, "He plays a village rowdy, but we have written his character in a very beautiful way, it sure will be different from his roles in previous films". Nayanthara and Jiiva have previously worked together in the 2006 hit film E, which was directed by S.P. Jananathan. The movie earned approximately 13 crores at the box office.
