R. Sarathkumar To Play Undercover Cop In ‘Chennaiyil Oru Naal 2’

Recently, reports of R. Sarathkumar starring as a cop in Prithvi Aditya’s upcoming film Rendavathu Attam started flowing thick and fast. Well, not much after the news broke, Sarath began shooting for a thriller titled ‘Chennaiyil Oru Naal 2’. The thriller, to be helmed by debutant JPR, will feature Sarath as an undercover cop.

“The film is adapted from a novel written by crime writer Rajesh Kumar”, filmmaker JPR stated, adding, “The plot involves events that happen over one day”. The director also revealed, “Anjana Prem, who has appeared in Vedalam, is the heroine, but she plays the adopted daughter of Sarath Kumar's character”.

On a related note, the movie will also feature Munishkanth, Raja Simhan - who played villain in ‘Kutti Puli’ - and Baby Sathanya of ‘Nisabdham’. Film music director Ron Ethan Yohaan will score the music for the film. The movie started rolling in Coimbatore on Monday.
