Radhika Apte to Play Lead in Rajinikanth's Next?

Actress Radhika Apte, who is well-known for her work in southern films like ‘Dhoni’ and ‘Legend’, will be reportedly seen opposite superstar Rajinikanth in his next film. This will be Rajinikanth’s 159^th film and its name is not decided yet. The movie is expected to go on floors in Malaysia in August this year.

According to a source from the film's unit, "Radhika has been approached to play the leading lady, but nothing has been finalised yet. The first round of talks has happened". The movie will be directed by Pa Ranjith and will seemingly feature superstar Rajinikanth in the role of a gangster. The rest of the cast has not been finalised yet. 

The crew will be leaving for Malaysia in the first week of August for more than a month-long shoot. Produced by Kalaipuli S. Thanu, the film has music by Santosh Narayanan. The film is supposed to be released early next year.
