Lawrence's Muni 3 is now Kanchana 2 !

Actor-filmmaker Raghava Lawrence-directed horror-comedy Muni 3, which is supposed to be a sequel to Kollywood film Kanchana and the third instalment to the Muni franchise, will now hit the screens as Kanchana 2. While speaking to a leading English daily, Lawrence confirmed, "My producers and I felt Kanchana 2 goes with the prequel and will instantly connect with the audience. We earlier titled it Muni 3 because it's the third film in the franchise."

Raghava Lawrence starrer Muni released on March 9, 2007. The comedy-horror film received positive reviews from critics as well as audiences. The second film in the installment of Muni, Kanchana also did well at the box office. Kanchana 2 is also expected to do a good business. Starring Raghava Lawrence and Taapsee Pannu, the film is slated to release in April. Also featuring Kovai Sarala and Devadarshini in the supporting roles, Kanchana 2 will be distributed by Thenandal Films and produced by Bellamkonda Suresh.
