Rajiv Menon To Direct A Film After 17 Years

Cinematographer-turned-filmmaker Rajiv Menon is all set to wield the megaphone once again after a long hiatus of 17 years. The movie is titled Sarvam Thaala Mayam and stars GV Prakash Kumar and Aparna Balamurali in the lead roles. Rajiv’s last directorial venture was Kandukondain Kandukondain which released in 2000 and included an ensemble cast of Mammootty, Ajith Kumar, Tabu , Aishwarya Rai and Abbas.

Touted to be musical, it also stars veteran Malayalam actor Nedumuni Venu in an important role. AR Rahman will be providing the music score to the film. The film also has a song which is written by the late lyricist Na Muthukumar.

Na Muthukumar, who is a two time National Award-winning lyricist, wrote the song just a week before he passed away on August 14, 2016. “It was his last song, he wrote it a week before his untimely demise,” tweeted the filmmaker on the lyricist being part of the film. Madhan Karky and Neruppuda fame Arunraja Kamaraj will be writing other songs of the movie. The makers have already started shooting for the flick.
