Starring Ashwin Jerome, Varsha Bollamma and Raju Sundaram, ‘Yaanum Theeyavan’ went on floors on July 22, 2015. The upcoming romantic suspense thriller is now all set to release next week. The film has been directed by debutant director Prashanth G Sekar, who is a former assistant of director Hari.

Recently, the flick’s male lead Ashwin revealed that choreographer-actor Raju will feature as a serial killer in the movie. “I wouldn’t call Yaanum Theeyavan as a path-breaking film — it is a good film, based on a real-life story. It is about a serial killer, who leaves no trace. Raju Sundaram master plays the character”, he said.

Ashwin continued, “The heroine ends up as a witness to a crime committed by the serial killer, and he takes the couple as hostage. So, how they escape forms the story”. The actor also touched upon selecting Raju to play the grey character.

“(Raju Sundaram) Master is strict when it comes to dancing, we thought we could use that trait for the role. Also, we wanted someone who has not played villainous roles before”, Ashwin added.

On a related note, the songs and the background music for the film have been composed by music director Achu of ‘Urumeen’ fame.
