Reason Behind Rescheduling Of ‘Singam 3’ Revealed

The third instalment of Singam franchise, ‘S3’, which was scheduled to release on December 23, has been postponed. The male lead of the film, Suriya, saddened his fans with the news. He announced the delay in the release date of ‘Singam 3’ on twitter.

Suriya wrote: “Dear all! #S3 stands postponed due to several external factors not under our control! Believe it's for the larger good! Need all your support! (sic).” As per sources, the film recently went through the censor test and acquired a U/A certificate. Allegedly, Suriya was not happy with this and wanted a ‘U’ certificate for his forthcoming flick. Hence, the 41-year-star halted the release of ‘S3’.

Suriya is not willing to compromise and feels that the action sequences in this third instalment are much lower than they were in ‘Singam 2’. He wants the censor board to revise their decision. Directed by Hari, ‘S3’ will star Anushka Shetty and Shruti Haasan as female leads.
