    Ritika Singh was heaped with praises after making a stupendous debut with ‘Irudhi Suttru’. The Tamil-Hindi sports drama film portrayed her in the role of a raw talented boxer who overcomes many challenges to make a name for herself in the world of Boxing. The actress played the role to perfection and has now been awarded for her efforts.

    Ritika won the Special Mention award for the Sudha Kongara directorial at the 63rd National Awards. She was quite happy and excited, and said, “I have no words to say. I am at a loss of words. You are the first person to tell me about it. I would like to thank everybody in this world starting from God for giving me life, my parents, my director Sudha Kongara, producer Sashikanth, Rajkumar Hirani sir and everyone connected with the film, my numerous fans out there and all. I am very very happy. It’s like an Oscar for me”.

    She will now be seen with Vijay Sethupathi in his next. The film will be helmed by director M. Manikandan of Kaaka Muttai fame. Unlike her last venture, the film will deal with a lighter subject and will be filled with twists.
