Sai Pallavi Roped In For Maari 2

Fidaa actress Sai Pallavi seems to be making all the right choices. The actress is in high demand and according to latest reports, she has been roped in for Maari 2, which is a sequel to the Dhanush starrer ‘Maari’. The sequel, like the original, will be a bilingual in Tamil and Telugu.

Director Balaji Mohan, who will be at the helm of affairs for the sequel as well, shared the news through his Twitter handle and posted, “The vibrant Sai Pallavi is the heroine of Maari 2. It’s a character that’s right at the heart of the film”. The flick is being touted as an action comedy.

The original had Dhanush playing the role of a local rowdy. He shared screen space with Kajal Aggarwal . It performed quite well at the box office. The sequel currently does not have a release date but it has also been reported that Malayalam actor Tovino Thomas will be playing the main antagonist.
