With directors outsourcing motion-capture to foreign countries, director Sakthivel Perumalsamy used the skills of Tamil technicians in his film Urumeen. The movie features Bobby Simha and Rashmi Menon in leading roles. The movie is a fantasy-action involving three generations.

Sakthivel revealed, “The film has three portions. One part was shot in Chennai, the other in the forests and the remaining had a historical backdrop from a 17th Century kingdom. For this portion, we used motion-capture”. He added, “A team of 15 Tamil technicians worked on these portions for over 100 days. The quality of their work is worldclass, and importantly, the price at which they did it was reasonable. In fact, it cost me just 25 per cent of what it would have, had I chosen an international firm”.

Urumeen will be released on December 4 and according to the director, there are some crucial scenes in the beginning which should not be missed. He also stated that the sequences where motion capture was used is right at the beginning.
