Samantha, Kajal Roped in for Mahesh Babu’s Tamil Debut

Mahesh Babu is making his debut in the Kollywood industry with Bramhotsavam, which is also going to be made in Telugu. Previously, the makers announced that Rakul Preet Singh and Pranitha Subhash will be playing the lead. But now, the makers have realized the need for three lead actresses and, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Kajal Aggarwal have been roped in replacing Rakul Preet Singh.

An insider revealed, “This is a film about family values and celebrating tradition. It is about the bonding between a father (Sathyaraj) and his son (Mahesh), and the story revolves around the mother's (Revathy) family. The three heroines play a pivotal role in the story and in the manner in which the hero realizes the value of family. They go out on a journey exploring the family lineage and their place in the larger scheme of family links”.

Sreekanth will be directing the project.  The film is supposed to go on floors in August. Sathyaraj and Revathi also feature in the film. They will be playing Mahesh Babu's parents in the Tamil flick.
