Sequel Of Vijay Sethupathi’s ‘Idharkuthane Aasaipattai Balakumara’ To Be A Period-drama?

A couple of days back it was reported that Vijay Sethupathi will reunite with director Gokul for his next. The duo delivered ‘Idharkuthane Aasaipattai Balakumara’ in 2013 and the film got a great reception from the audiences. The two have reunited for the sequel of the hit 2013 film.

Rumours are doing the rounds that the sequel might be a period-drama flick. However, no official announcement has been made by the makers regarding this.  The prequel was a laughter riot and the fans expect the same from the second instalment. It will be interesting how the Gokul will present a period based film in a humorous manner.

The director is keen to retain majority of the cast from the prequel. A source said, "Most of the crew will be retained for the film. Ashwin and Vijay Sethupathi will reprise their roles; Gokul is working on the script. This movie will also be a laugh riot and will entertain the audience thoroughly. The heroines are yet to be decided". Siddharth Vipin, who acted in the previous part, is likely to score the music for the sequel.
