Singam II rights for 3 crore?

SingamII, a sequel ofSingam, seems to be a hard hitting action directorial by Hari but the producer of the film has to pay a little more to get this title. The news is that the upcoming Tamil flickSingamII, has to get back the rights of the film title fromaprivate Tamil TV channel and for this the producer, Lakshmanan, has to pay a handsome amount of 3 crore to the channel.

SingamIIwill be starringSuriya in the lead role andAnushka Shetty, Hansika Motwani, Vivek and Santhanam will be playing supporting roles in the upcoming venture. The Hindi version of the TamilSingamby Rohit Shetty was a great hit in Bollywood and the success ofSingamIIwill further increase the chances of its remake in Hindi.

The film will hit the screens in the mid of 2013.
