Sridevi to play Queen in ‘Puli’

Sridevi is returning to the Kollywood industry after almost 2 decade to play a prominent role in the upcoming project ‘Puli’. The actress will essay the role of a Queen in the film. Last, Sridevi was in a Bollywood film ‘English Vinglish’, which released in 2012.

Interestingly, the first teaser of the film released on Vijay’s 41^st birthday. The teaser showcases the actress studded with royal jewellery and gowns, which were designed by Manish Malhotra. Reportedly, Sridevi’s daughter is to make a cameo appearance in the film.

This Chimbu Deven directorial is based on the lines of Hollywood blockbuster ‘Gladiator’. Along with Sridevi, the film also stars Vijay, Sudeep and Shruti Haasan in prominent roles. Also, Hansika Motwani has a short film in the film. It shows a fight sequence between Kiccha sudeep and Vijay. ‘Puli’ is all set to hit the theatres in July.
