Well, the sequel will not have Jackie Shroff and Poonam Dhillon, but, Southern actors Srikanth and Nikesha Patel. Confirming the news, Nikisha said, "We've already started shooting the bilingual; while Bokadia sir has already filmed for 20 days, and I've shot for seven." "We shot some portions in Chennai, Hyderabad and Jaipur. Nikesha and I play a couple in this murder mystery,” said the film’s main lead Srikanth.

Just like the original, the sequel too will have a four-legged animal playing an important part. Nikisha has said that the makers are planning to have a German shepherd in the film. The makers have brought German Shepherds from London and Delhi for the film.  Telling about the sequel, she stated that the sequel is not a continuation of ‘Teri Meherbaniyan’, but a fresh script.
