Suriya to debut in Malayalam cinema with Mohanlal and Mammootty?

Tamil superstar Suriya is reportedly planning to make his debut in Malayalam cinema with a big bang. If everything goes as planned, Suriya will be acting in his maiden Malayalam project co-starring two superstars, Mohanlal and Mammootty.

Priyadarshan’s upcoming Malayalam film Kunjali Marakkar, a biopic of the legendary warrior, will star Mammootty in the lead role and Mohanlal has been roped in to play the character of Kunjikrishnan Nair. The latest buzz reveals that if the deal is finalised with Suriya, he will also be assigned with an important role in the film.

When Priyadarshan was contacted he said that Suriya’s deal is not finalised yet. "We are currently busy with the discussions," he said. As revealed by latest reports, though the film will be called Kunjali Marakkar, Mohanlal’s character is also of equal importance as Kunjikrishnan Nair is mistaken for the actual warrior and is compelled to play his role till he arrives. Earlier it was reported that Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan will also be a part of the Malayalam project but later all such reports have been proved false by the actress herself.
