Suiya's 'Thaana Serndha Kootam’ Is A Remake Of This Popular Akshay Kumar Film?

Filmmaker Vignesh Shivan has roped in versatile actor Suriya for his third film. Titled as ‘Thaana Serndha Kootam’, the film is now being rumoured to be a remake of a Bollywood entertainer. Several reports have it that ‘Thaana Serndha Kootam’, alias TSK, is a remake of Akshay Kumar and Kajal Aggarwal starrer ‘Special 26’.

A source close to the team reveals, “Although, TSK is an adaptation of Special 26, we cannot call it a remake. The core plot of Special 26 has been adapted, and the makers have made a lot of changes in Suriya’s characterisation. He plays a CBI officer in the movie and the present schedule involves a lot of character artistes. This schedule has been going on for 12 days in Chennai, and is expected to be wrapped up in a couple of days.”

Produced by K. E. Gnanavel Raja, ‘Thaana Serndha Kootam’ will star Suriya and Keerthy Suresh in the lead roles. Moreover, actor Senthil is touted to essay the role of a personal secretary. Anirudh Ravichander has composed the film’s music and cinematography is by Dinesh Krishna and editing by Sreekar Prasad.
