Thilakan suffers heart attack, Manorama also hospitalized

Extending a helping hand to veteran Malayalam actor Thilakan, who has recently suffered a heart attack, the Kerala government has said that it will pay the medical bills of the 74-year-old. The legendary actor, who has so far worked in nearly 300 films, suffered a heart attack on August 25 and since then he has been put on ventilator at a private hospital. Health Minister V.S. Sivakumar said, "Chief Minister Oommen Chandy has cleared this decision. I met the doctors and they have told me that he continues to be on ventilator but his overall health condition has shown a slight improvement, but still he is not out of danger". Meanwhile reports have come that Tollywoods Aachi and veteran actress Manorama has also been hospitalized following breathing complaints. According to reports, the former actress, who has done comic roles in over 50 films, was not keeping well for the past few days.
