Thirukumaran’s Next Completed, Titled Gethu

Director Thirukumaran’s next venture titled Gethu will star Udhayanidhi Stalin and Amy Jackson in the lead roles. The movie has been titled Gethu and will be an action flick. The director stated, ““I try to make every film in such a manner that it emphasises an idea presented in a kural (Thirukural)”

Talking about Gethu, Thirukumaran reveals, “While the message for Maan Karate came from the kural: Deivathaal Aagadheninum Muyarchi Than Meivaruthaa Kooli Tharum (That which cannot be achieved even by God can be achieved by the committed effort that one puts into completing the task), the message that I will look to emphasise through Gethu will be the idea presented in Magan Thanthaikku Aatrum Udhavi Ivan Thanthai Ennotran Kol Ennum Sol (The greatest service of a son is to conduct himself in such a manner that the world is made to wonder what austerities his father has performed to be blessed with such a son)”.

Appreciating actress Amy Jackson for her professionalism, the director stated, “Amy is one of the most co-operative artistes that one can find. She was never late to the sets and was sincere in memorising her lines. In fact, she would write down her lines in English and take them the previous day. The next day, she would speak her lines flawlessly”. This will be the first time that actor Udhayanidhi will be seen in an action film.
