Velaiilla Pattadhari 2 Will Be Released On August 11

For quite some time now, fans have been waiting to watch Dhanush and Kajol’s on-screen chemistry. There have been several delays in the film’s release but now, finally, ‘Velaiilla Pattadhari 2’ has got a release date, August 11. The movie will mark Kajol’s return to the Tamil industry after 19 years.

Dhanush took to Twitter to share the news of the release and posted a teaser, along with the caption, “#vip2 release date #raghuvarancoming”. Kajol will be playing a stylish entrepreneur in the film which is a sequel to the 2014 flick ‘Velaiilla Pattadhari’. This will be her second Tamil film after ‘Minasara Kanavu' which came out in 1997.

‘Velaiilla Pattadhari 2’ has been directed by Soundarya Rajinikanth with music by Sean Roldan. Dhanush is producing alongside Kalaipuli S. Thanu. The cast also includes Amala Paul, Ritu Varma, Samuthirakani and Saranya Ponvannan. Sameer Thahir is responsible for the cinematography. ‘Velaiilla Pattadhari 2’ will be released in Tamil and Telugu.
