Vetrimaaran’s Visaranai to be shot in a jail

Filmmaker Vetrimaaran made his directorial debut with the critically acclaimed Polladhavan. His second film Aadukalam received accolades and was the proud winner of five National awards. The director is now all set to work for his next movie titledVisaranai featuring Attakathi Dinesh and Anandhi.

If the leaked reports are to be believed, the movie will contain scenes like ‘lathi’ charges and police inquiries and investigations. In fact, the entire movie will be shot in prison and portray authenticity at its best. "Vetrimaran is going to make Visaranai on an experimental basis. It will be an action thriller," sources say.

Kollywood grapevine is also abuzz that the experimental film will have a 60 minute run time. However, insiders from the unit say that Visaranai is a full length feature film with 2 hours run time without any songs. Whatever may be the case, award winning director Vetrimaran is famous for making films on subjects that directly hit the youth mass and we surely are hopeful about his next directorial venture.
