Vignesh Shivan’s Thaana Serndha Kootam Is Nearing Completion

Actor Vignesh Shivan turned director in 2012 with Podaa Podi. Later, he went on by directing Naanum Rowdydhaan which came out to be a super hit. After the success of Naanum Rowdydhaan people expected a lot from Vignesh.

The director is prepping up for his third project titled Thaana Serndha Kootam. The movie will feature actor Suriya in the lead role. Apart from Suriya, the flick will also feature Keerthy Suresh, Ramya Krishnan, Karthik, Suresh Menon and Senthil.

The film which went on floors early this year is nearing completion. “A week of shoot is left for the movie and the makers are planning to head to Croatia for a song shoot. Also, we are eyeing to wrap up the entire shoot by the end of August. The post production will begin in full swing in September,” revealed a source close to the team.

Speculations are rife that the story of Thaana Serndha Kootam is based on Bollywood film Special 26 which starred Akshay Kumar. However, when asked from the makers, they denied the news stating that it completely different from Special 26.  The movie is produced by KE Gnanavel Raja of Studio Green with music composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
