Vijay’s Much Awaited Movie Will Be Called ‘Mersel’

It has been quite a long time since fans of Vijay have been eagerly waiting for the title of his upcoming movie which was tentatively titled ‘Vijay 61’. But now your wait is over as the makers have finally decided the title of the film. The much awaited movie has been titled as ‘Mersal’.

The makers revealed the title on the eve of Vijay’s birthday. ‘Mersal’ is a colloquial word in Tamil which means ‘I was stunned to the core’. Atlee is at the helm of affairs for the project, while Thenandal Studios have produced the film.

The movie has been scripted by Vijayendra Prasad. Since Vijay will be donning three roles in the movie, one of a magician, a doctor and a panchayat, therefore the makers decided to cast three heroines opposite him. Samantha, Nithya Menon and Kajal Agarwal are the three actresses who will be romancing his three characters. A source said that since Vijay was addressed as Thalapathy instead of Ilaiyathalapathy, therefore he be called as ‘Thalapathy’ Vijay. Rumours are doing rounds that the movie will revolve around jallikattu since the poster shows Vijay with bulls in the background.
