    Vinu Chakravarthy Critically Ill

    Senior Tamil actor, script writer and director Vinu Chakravarthy, who is known for acting in more than 1000 movies in Tamill, Telugu, Kannada, Badaga and Malayalam, was hospitalised on July 30. The actor is critically ill and is suffering from high blood pressure and diabetes. He was admitted to a private hospital in Vadapalani, Chennai. 

    The 69-year-old actor is said to be in a critical stage and is still unconscious. He has been acting in Tamil movies since 1980s. The veteran was referred as the ‘lucky token’ by superstar Rajinikanth in a function held in Erode where he was presented with a ‘lifetime achievement award’, as the superstar had this belief that if Vinu is in his movie, the film would be a success.

    The actor has shared screen space with Sivaji Ganesan and has also starred in 25 films with superstar Rajinikanth. All the 25 films turned out to be super-duper hits. Some of his well-known movies are ‘Guru Sishyan’, ‘Rajadhi Raja’, ‘Mappillai’, ‘Annamalai’, and ‘Arunachalam’. The actor has also done many films with Kamal Haasan.
