Vishal Talks About Kathakali

Kathakali will star Vishal and Catherine Tresa in the lead roles. The movie has been directed by Pandiraj and will be his first attempt at directing a thriller. It will also mark the first time the leading actors have worked with each other. Vishal recently spoke about the film and gave some insight on the shooting and the story.

Vishal shared, “This film was completed very quickly. Pandiraj is systematic and is a great planner. We planned to release the film for Diwali but because of the Nadigar Sangam elections, I couldn’t go for shooting continuously. So it took us 62 days”. Talking about the story, the actor revealed, “The events happen in a day and they begin in Chennai and end in Cuddalore. This film does not have any message to society. It is purely an entertainer that will be thrilling”.

Kathakali will be released on January 14 along with Bala’s Thaarai Thappaattai. Vishal also stated that he will watch Thaarai Thappaattai first and then his own film. He also feels that the piracy problem in the industry needs to be controlled as it affects the reach of the movie and the efforts the people involved put in.
