An award in honour of late actor Raghuvaran

In the honour of late multilingual actor Raghuvaran, his actress wife Rohini hasinstituted a film award in his name. The award will be given to the best performers of the South Indianfilm industry every year in the categories of best actor and best actress. Rohini said that the RaghuvaranAwards has been instituted because her husband, who died in 2008, had a very special place ineveryones heart and mind. The yesteryear actress is also planning to release Raghuvaran's Englishmusic album consisting five English songs written and composed by the actor himself. The album, whichwas completed by the senior actor just before his death, will be launched on December 11, his birthday.
