Biopics are emerging as a profitable proposition. After Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, it is the turn of his Telangana counterpart K. Chandrasekhar Rao to become the subject of a political biopic. Veteran filmmaker Madhura Sreedhar Reddy has dared to take up this challenge. The critically acclaimed director is all set to helm a film based on the life of the Chief Minister of Telangana.

Rumours are doing the rounds that this biopic will possibly hit the floors next year. The cast and crew of the film are yet not finalized. The director of this forthcoming biopic told Hindustan Times, “Unlike other biopics, the film does not deal with the childhood of KCR and his rise in politics, but it essentially deals with how he led from the front the Telangana movement and galvanised millions of people to wage a peaceful movement that culminated in the formation of Telangana state.”

Even before the film is scripted, Madhura Sreedhar Reddy has declared that the flick will release on February 17, 2018, on the eve of CM’s birthday. It is also reported that Raj Kandukuri, who produced blockbuster ‘Pelli Choopulu’, will bankroll this touted project under his banner Dharmapada Creations.
