Deva Katta won the award for best debutant director in 2010 for his film ‘Prasthanam’, a political thriller that was appreciated by the critics as well. However, the filmmaker failed to repeat his success and two of his films, ‘Autonagar Surya’ and ‘Dynamite’, bombed at the box office. Now, he is set to bounce back with a hit film.

According to the reports, Deva Katta is ready to start a film and is looking to rectify the mistakes he made in his earlier films. The director opened up about his next project and said, “I am going to make a film I believe in and I am going to give precedence to the script over anything else this time. I know what went wrong with my earlier endeavours. I am not going to compromise on my vision at any cost".

The film has been titled ‘Maha Prasthanam’ and Katta cleared that the flick will not be the sequel to 2010 hit ‘Prasthanam’. Currently, the hunt for lead actor is going on and the filmmaker revealed that he is scouting other industries as well for the lead actor. Names like Sharwanand and Gopichand have been linked with the project.
