Manchu Manoj made his debut in the Tollywood industry as a lead with action comedy film Donga Dongadi in 2004. Although the flick was not a hit, it gave the actor his much needed recognition. However, the actor is going through one of the toughest phase of his career.

His last three films have not worked well at the box-office and hopes are high with his next one. His last flick, Gunturodu, bombed at the box-office. The movie’s response was so poor that not even a single ticket of the film was sold out at a premiere show in overseas. The actor is now all prepped up for his upcoming film Okkadu Migiladu under the direction of Ajay Andrews Nuttaki.

Manoj is trying every possible thing to bring out the best from his upcoming flick. The actor posted, “#OkkaduMigiladu team wrapped up shooting of toughest boat refugee sequence in most difficult conditions that too in middle of the sea. (sic) Guys, #OkkaduMigiladu ‘sea’ sequence is not filmed on me. It has 10 people doing intense drama. Entire episode is for 40mins. Kudos team! (sic)”.

The film is based on the LTTE conflict in Sri Lanka. Okkadu Migiladu will show real life incidents that took place in 1990s after the Sri Lanka Civil War, leaving in its trail 15 lakh refugees.
