Jr. NTR eyeing September 27 again to release Ramayya Vasthavayya

The year was 2001 and the date was September 27 when Jr. NTR’s Telugu film Student No. 1 was released. It was an instant hit at the box-office and eventually Jr. NTR shot to stardom. Now the same date has been targeted by the actor to release his upcoming Telugu action-drama Ramayya Vasthavayya, with hopes that the results would be the same or better.

Ramayya Vasthavayya’ spokesperson told to IANS, "The unit is currently shooting in Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad. The shoot is likely to be completed soon and the makers want to release the film on Sep 27, co-inciding with the release day of 'Student No. 1'.” Student No. 1 was the first directorial venture by S.S. Rajamouli, which showed NTR as a college-student with a repulsive background. Ramayya Vasthavayya is directed by Harish Shankar and it will also feature Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Shruti Haasan and Vidyullekha Raman.
