    Ace actor-filmmaker Mohan Babu Manchu, who has appeared in almost 500 films, is all set to be honoured by the Telugu Association of London (TAL) for his immense contribution to Telugu cinema on Saturday. The ace actor who rose to fame with Dasari Narayana Rao’s Swargam Narakam has starred in various blockbusters like Alludugaru, Allari Mogudu  and Kodama Simham.

    "Mohan Babu's contribution to the entertainment industry, education, and charity is unparalleled. This award is a tribute to his passion for cinema and we are extremely happy he was gracious to accept the award", said Ramulu Dasoju, founder president of the association.

    Talking about the prestigious award, Mohan Babu said, “I like to express thanks to TAL for this conferring me with this award. I dedicate this award to family, my friends, my fans and all those who walked along with me in this journey of 40 years and counting”.

    Formed in 2005, Telugu Association of London is a renowned non-profit Telugu charity organisation in Britain. Apparently, the legendary actor had previously received an honorary doctorate from the University of California, Berkely.
