    Noted music composer and playback singer M.M. Keeravani aka M.M. Kreem (as called in Bollywood) has decided to retire from his musical career and he has announced the official date on his Facebook page as December 8, 2016.

    Keeravani posted, “i recorded my 1st song on 9th December 1989 at Prasad Studios Chennai. The very day i fixed my retirement day to be 8th December 2016 which i am planning to celebrate the day with my close associates and musicians.. most likely at Prasad Studio, Hyderabad. So it is hardly 3 more years to go. Meanwhile i am happy to start this new journey on FB from tomorrow, details will be updated in the evening. I thank all of my fans who spared their time to express their likes, dislikes, advices and wishes to me all these years !!”

    National Film Award-winning music director Keeravani has worked across Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi film industries. He has been honoured with eight Andhra Pradesh state Nandi Awards, four Filmfare Awards South and a Tamil Nadu State Film Award too. In Telugu he has composed music for films like Annamayya, Maryada Ramanna, Student No.1, Eega, Subha Sankalpam, Simhadri, Magadheera, Yamadonga and Gangotri, to mention quite a few. In Tamil his music is famous for films like Azhagan and Naan Ee. His latest Tamil projects include Anamika and Baahubali. In Hindi films too his music is quite popular for films like Criminal, Zakhm, Sur: The Melody of Life, Jism, Saaya, Paheli and his latest Special Chabbis. His fans showed disappointment at the announcement as all of them want more music from the genius.
