Following the recent case of breach of contractual obligations, actress Shruti Haasan was hit by a restraining order by Picture House Media Ltd. The actress had a contractual agreement to star in Vamsi Paidipalli’s directorial Oopiri. Shruti apparently stepped back from the contract which resulted in the restraining order. Contrary to what was believed, the actress has sprung back with two new projects lined up.

She will be starring in the remake of the Malayalam film Premam which is tentatively titled Majnu. The director of the project Chandu Mondeti stated, “It is a rare opportunity for me to direct this movie along with the crazy combination of Naga Chaitanya and Shruti Haasan”. He added, “Premam is a clean love story and there is a lot of scope for melody in this beautiful subject”.

The second project will put her alongside Ram Charan. The movie will be directed by Surender Reddy. It will be the Telugu remake of Thani Oruvan. According to a source, “Surender Reddy expressed his desire to cast Shruti to Charan, who gave his consent as the duo had bonded during the sets of Yevadu. The film will be launched next month after Charan returns from his vacation”.
