Shahid Kapoor signs Hindi remake of Tamil super hit Vettai

It has been now confirmed that Tamil blockbuster Vettai is being remade in Hindi andBollywood heartthrob Shahid Kapoor is essaying the role played by Arya in the original. Earlier reportshad come that Shahid was shown the film by the director N. Linguswamy and the former liked thescreenplay very much. Linguswamy, will make the Hindi version as well, according to reports. Informingabout the progress on the project, Linguswamy told IANS, "I cannot communicate in Hindi. And thedialogues were not being translated properly. That was the main problem. Now my producer UTV ishiring a dialogue writer of their choice. That writer will be getting together with the Tamil dialoguewriter of Vettai to get the essence of the dialogues". Another lead role, which is played by R. Madhavanin Vettai, has been offered to Pakistani actor Ali Zafar.
