SIIMA 2014 nominations announced!

The nominations for South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA) 2014 have been revealed! The event will be held on September 12 and 13 at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Recently, SIIMA 2014 was launched in Hyderabad where actress Rana Daggubati commented, "South Indian cinema is one of the biggest film industries in the world and SIIMA provides a platform for the stars to showcase their work to a global audience. SIIMA is way to celebrate with the film fraternity and connect with a global audience."

Speaking at the event, Director of Tourism Malaysia Manoharan Peraisamy said, “Malaysia is delighted to be associated with SIIMA and we are glad to host the most prestigious South Indian Movie Award in our country. Indian movies have always been popular in Malaysia especially the South Indian movies. With a huge fan base, this event will be a big treat for Indian film lovers in Malaysia. Malaysia with its exotic beaches and natural attractions is also growing as a favorite filming destination for Indian film makers. We hope to make many more films together.”

Tollywood actors Mahesh Babu, Venkatesh, Prabhas, Nithiin and Ram Charan have been nominated for the best actor award and Telugu actresses Kajal Aggarwal, Tamannaah, Nithya Menen, Shruti Haasan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu will be competing for the Best Actress award.
