Nandamuri Balakrishna’s ‘Dictator’ released on January 14 on the occasion of Pongal. The film got a good response from the audiences as well as the critics. However, the director of the film, Sriwass feels that the 99th film of the Legend actor could have been a bigger success.

The director-screenwriter feels that all the four movies, ‘Express Raja’, ‘Nannaku Prematho’ and ‘Soggade Chinni Nayana’, that released during Pongal affected each others’ business. He said, “All four releases suffered because of this. I think two releases are fine for the Sankranthi period and anything more than that will be a problem for all other releases”.

He added that all the four flicks got positive feedbacks from the audiences, but all four did not get their dew as so many films were running at the same time. Despite such competition the director was satisfied with the film’s performance. Moreover, it is being said that the film will be remade in Hindi.
