Vikram’s Saamy 2 To Have Music By Devi Sri Prasad

Actor Chiyaan Vikram’s upcoming sequel to his own Tamil blockbuster Saamy is likely to start rolling soon. The 2003 action film was one of the biggest hit in the actor’s career as it let Chiyaan develop an image as a mass hero and gain a fan base of his own. The sequel, titled Saamy 2, will star Trisha Krishnan and Keerthy Suresh as the female leads.

To be helmed by film director Hari, the movie was said to have scores and soundtracks composed by noted music director Harris Jayaraj. However, the latest development suggests differently. The update about the flick says that Rock Star Devi Sri Prasad has been brought on board to serve as the film’s music composer.

The movie will be bankrolled by Shibu  Thameens. The producer took to Twitter to confirm the news. He wrote, “Rocking @ThisIsDSP join SAAMY 2 team #ChiyaanVikram #hari @trishtrashers @KeerthyOfficial @proyuvraaj @chiyaanCVF @sooriaruna”.

On a related note, Hari’s regular cinematographer Priyan will be wielding the camera for the flick. The film will feature Vikram reprising his role as the hot-headed police officer Aarusaamy.
