Ek haseena theeek deewana tha..AND ek villain thakya zamaaaanaaa thaaa
All this indispensable bollywood funda this time at the age of 14 .We have seen it from actors in 20s ,30s, 40sAnd then thanks to mr Amitabh eve in 50s and 60s..What remained was the tensand now bollywood hits an all time low with the tag contour LOVE AT 14
Bubble Gum may not amuse us a lot and is definitely not meant for the popcorn guzzlers like me.(yes I blatantly accept that)
But some might discover that the film has a special charisma to it, spilling over the frame of mind reminding us of that first crush .The girl in the second row first bench. . . . .
What we look for in a movie is entertainment and the promos did promise me entertainment .The movie broke its promise .It does not at all entertain you.
You may be found smiling at times but never ever be seen laughing out loud. Cheesy things by vedant, those hearts made on the desk ,those on the walls those bubble gums .talks between jenny and him. Definitely dont entertain me a lot. The trailer runs all fast and paced up but the movie goes slow..Most of the things that Vedant does ,I dont find them amusing. And maybe no boy would, girls might, as does jenny .
And so for me the movie was a big bore
The movie is not a kids movie it is a teenage movie .But I guess even the teenagers are not going to adore this..The movie maybe liked but just a onetime watch.
A 100 Bucks down the drain.
.And though I too had crushes when I was fourteen but miscomputing crush as love and doing seriously crazy things for it is only acceptable till a limit .Somewhere it stretches a tad too much. The film has kids as actors, but it is not a children's film. It is somewhere a lesson to parents .An attempt to teach them parenting .Erging them to maintain an equality amongst their brood but they wont learn anything as I myself witnessed an uncle sleeping with his mouth wide open. even I felt sleepy somewhere amidst.
The director needs a sure shot vocabulary check it isnt love that happens at fourteen but crush.And if you have a pretty and all cute girl like jenny it surely happens.So Mr.Vedant it isnt a pehla nasha pehla khuma thing.
And yeah that reminds me of telling that The PEHLA NASHA tone has been stretched a tad too much in the movie though it is the basic plot,
A little more of editing would have made the film a well paced one
I wonder could it have been a little better had it been set in 2010 and vedant poking jenny on facebookjust a thought but maybe the movie could have been more interesting.
Lakhani, Delzad Hiravali, Apoorva Arora, Suraj Singh as the lead teenagers do well in their roles and maybe if teenagers have less amount of homework this weekend the movie could be a hit or at least average.
Debut director Sanjivan Lal Man ! you could have done better .
MY ADVICE : try watching khap or Gandhi to hitler .Maybe they are better.AS for teenagers especially girls go for this.
