A thin plot sinks JHMS.

Verdict - SRK let's down his fans.
Imagine tons of money being poured by Red Chillies Productions ( benami' owner being Gauri Khan) in a home production coupled with high decible publicity falling flat at the box office .Yes,all because the thin plot doesn't make a movie to hold viewer's interest .
We have an aged international tourist guide Harry ( SRK himself in his fifties) made to play a 'male escort' to a twenty something rich and feminist gal( Anushka Sharma as Sejal). Why? All because the damsel in distress has forgotten her engagement ring some where in her European trip .The poor guide is paid to escort her back to retrace this ring.Does she retrace it? What's the ultimate outcome of this human relationship?
The pair of Harry and Sejal visit any number of night clubs in their return journey. At all places Harry advices Sejal to be discreet so far as mingling alone with the sleezy joints is concerned. But nay.She claims to be a liberated woman.Untill she realises the limitations.Off course she has a body guard to take care of her from the louts.
Where does JHMS flounder? SRK shouldn't have cast himself in a subordinate role where he's the doormat of a damsel. He hasn't played a role beffiting his age.Seldom we see SRK brooding and crying in his privacy.
Anushka is over the top.
To me music is a let down.
The plot is not contemporary.
Imtiaz seems to be an over rated director.
JHMS is not a family draw.
SRKs brand image has taken a beating.
One must confess that SRK has taken a challenge to play a subdued role.
All in all,one may not miss much unless one is a die hard SRK fan.
