Judwa redux 2017 is below average film rehashed, recycled after 20 years by David Dhawan

Verdict - Mindless entertainment for mass audiences
David Dhawan is one film director who knows the pulse of the Indian masses and he knows the art of gift wrapping a wafer thin plot with dance, comedy and pulsating music. The hero of his film is handsome and naughty while the heroine is sexily dressed and is a bimbo. All the other characters are normally morons with abnormal behaviour. In other there is hardly anyone who is normal.
The film is targeted towards a popcorn munching holiday audience specially children and low IQ people who are out for some brainless fun. Two hit numbers of the previous version namely " Oonchi hai building" and " Chalti kya to 9 say 12" are repeated with great enthusiasm and will make the film a huge hit.
Varun Dhawan does the double role with great energy and both Jacqueline and Tapasee join him in performing the crazy scenes and the dance numbers. A number of supporting actors are required to overact in the ridiculous and sometimes obnoxious scenes.
Director David Dhawan has no doubt made a hit film but the comedy falls flat because of poor dilogue. The punchlines of older films are redone and Varun also does a caricature of SRK. Just like Dhawan's " Raja babu" we have Varun as Raja with Rajpal Yadav as a Nandu with a lisp. Then there is a fat British police woman which was not amusing at all. It was sad to see seasoned artists like Johnny lever, Pawan Malhotra and Anupam
Kher making desperate attempts to raise
laughs and falling flat.
Inspite of poor reviews the film will run well due to present day audience requirement of entertainment even though it is ridiculous or obnoxious in presentation.
